An Electrical Purchasing / Material Manager needed for a leading Electrical Contracting organization in the Macon GA area. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the cost-effective procurement of all electrical materials required for company projects. This position combines strategic purchasing, rigorous negotiation, and comprehensive material and logistics management to ensure a high-quality, timely supply chain.
Success requires a keen eye for detail, a drive for cost savings, and the ability to effectively evaluate shifting market conditions and supplier options. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential to establish and maintain profitable, high-quality vendor relationships and to implement innovative internal purchasing systems. This is a direct-hire role and our client is seeking local talent at this time.

responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute all material purchases for construction projects, focusing on cost efficiency
- Develop and implement profitable purchasing strategies and lead vendor negotiation tactics
- Oversee the material warehouse, including organization, personnel management, and stock level optimization
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Field Teams to ensure timely material delivery to all job sites
- Provide support to Pre-Construction efforts, including preparing submittals and securing specialized material pricing
- Manage company tools, equipment, and the entire vehicle fleet, ensuring all assets are maintained in working order
