A Senior Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role will lead design development of structural engineering designs for the GBSD program project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.

responsibilities:
- Lead design development of structural engineering designs for the GBSD program project.
- Prepare studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations.
- Ensure work adheres to applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.
- Collaborate with Structural engineers, designers, and technical disciplines.
- Develop concrete and steel structural design and drawings, including seismic.
- Perform Foundation design and drawings.
- Assist with boring oversight and walkdowns of existing facilities.
- Perform formal calculations and drawings.
- Review existing conditions and as-builts drawings.
- Review and integrate customer & vendor information from subcontractors.
- Develop design configuration packages for control, change management, and procurement.
- Develop design specifications for construction and/or procurement.
- Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards.
- Broad knowledge of Structural engineering design principles.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience (or 12-14 years of experience).
- Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States.
