A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role is responsible for design and procurement documentation (P&IDs, specifications, data sheets) for chilled water systems and unique equipment on the DOD Sentinel Project.

responsibilities:
- Prepare and check design and procurement documents for the Sentinel Project.
- Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating design related to chilled water systems and unique requirement driven equipment.
- Develop design documents and procurement documents including Specifications, Material Requisitions, P&IDs, and equipment data sheets.
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and the client.
- Prepare and check design and procurement documents including P&IDs, supporting calculations, data sheets, engineering specifications, and material requisitions.
- Prepare specifications and data sheets for unique, requirement driven equipment.
- Act as the technical representative for the associated purchase order or subcontract.
- Review vendor submittals and manage the supplier's technical performance.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Experience in Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID) development, chilled water system design, pipe sizing calculations, and equipment specification and procurement development for waste processing, nuclear, refinery, power, or chemical process facilities.
- Experience with developing custom equipment packages, including skid mounted systems and specialty items, such as security doors.
- Experience working on DOD government projects and with the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs).
- Experience in working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME NQA-1, or AS9100D.
Level 1:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) and
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
