responsibilities:
- Design and analyses of industrial ASME code stamped pressure vessels.
- Development of conceptual designs for prototypes
- Design of lifting devices, fixtures and tooling for large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Conduct finite element analyses (FEA) as needed
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- BS in Mechanical Engineering plus a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience
- Experience working within ASME standards, specificially BPVC Section VIII Division 1 (related to thedesign, fabrication, inspection, testing & certification rules for pressure vessels operating over 15 psig)
- Industrial machine design, ideally of dynamic or rotating equipment
- Must be willing and eager to learn, teach, and contribute with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Thorough understanding of pressure vessel design including welding, material selection and fabrication practices.
- Proven computer and CAD skills such as; SolidWorks, Codeware COMPRESS, DraftSight/ AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- PE Licence preferred or a willingness to obtain
