A US Customs Specialist is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies. Remote work. This role is needed to ensure US Import/Export and Customs regulatory compliance for the Electrification Business, manage trade programs, and conduct audits.

responsibilities:
- Role is for a key member of the Trade Compliance Team supporting Customs and Trade Compliance for five Electrification Business Divisions in the U.S.
- Primary goal is to ensure all processes are under full controllership and compliance.
- Accountable for compliance with export-import procedures and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of US import-export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements, and international logistics/shipping required.
- Demonstrated full-cycle program management capability in developing, implementing, and managing solutions for complex trade issues required.
- Direct industry knowledge of Electrification Products or the Electrical Industry is a plus.
- Experience/familiarity using Global Trade Systems (SAP GTS Module) is preferred.
- Responsibilities include providing advice, counsel, and training to stakeholders on Trade Controls, Customs compliance, regulations, and laws.
- Monitor and translate regulatory changes into operational procedures.
- Conduct audits of export-import documentation and Customs filings to ensure compliance (including for Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) procedures).
- Extensive knowledge US import-export regulations, foreign customs requirements, letters of credit, trade finance programs, free trade agreements and international logistics and shipping requirements is required.
- Must have demonstrated full-cycle program management capability in developing, implementing, and managing process solutions to complex export-import related issues.
- Direct industry knowledge of Electrification Products or the Electrical Industry is a plus.
- Experience/ familiarity using Global Trade Systems (SAP GTS Module) is preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in Import-Export Operations and Customs processes required.
