Large utility is looking for a Supply Chain Assistant in Jackson, MI. The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for improving operational performance and efficiency by analyzing substantial data, using SQL tools to find patterns and root causes, coordinating with cross-functional teams (engineers, QA, IT), and managing projects to restructure processes, requiring strong analytical and problem-solving skills and typically a relevant bachelor's education or equivalent experience. responsibilities:
- Responsible for improving the performance of an operation.
- Determine necessary requirements for specific projects.
- Coordinate with other employees (engineers, quality assurance professionals) to implement and test new supply chain methods.
- Analyze substantial amounts of data to problem-solve supply chain issues.
- Sample projects include: improving warehouse stocking program management structure, restructuring material flow to the corporate warehouse, and expanding supplier/carrier relationships.
- Translate business problems into solutions for Information Technology (IT) technicians.
- Work with SQL analysis tools to find patterns and root causes of problems.
