Mechanical Design Engineer needed for an immediate contract role in the Greensboro, NC area to create new mechanical designs and improve existing ones for automated control systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a creative, yet analytical approach to design with a problem solving mindset and manage projects from conception to completion.
The ideal candidate for this role must possess excellent written / verbal communication skills with the proficiency in 3D CAD modeling to design products like machinery, tools, robotics, and sensors for automated control systems. This person will enjoy collaborating with internal technical teams as well as the end clients holding a key role in growth of new business!

responsibilities:
- Create and Improve mechanical designs for machinery, tools, robotics, and sensors
- Use 3D CAD to create detailed drawings for the manufacturing process
- Conduct tests on prototypes to evaluate performance, safety, and reliability
- Write technical operation documentation
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during the design and manufacturing phases
- Work with project managers, manufacturing teams, and other engineers to ensure project success.
- Bachelors of Science / BSME along with 4 years of relevant experience with design of machinery, robotics for automation
- Proven, analytical and problem-solving abilities for overcoming design challenges
- Competent expertise using 3D CAD modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for collaborating with teams and clients
- Ability to manage projects from conception to completion
