A Mechanical Designer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role is for a CAD Drafter/Technician supporting Mechanical Engineers by creating and reviewing 2-D Intelligent P&IDs and ensuring the data integrity of component lists.

responsibilities:
- Support Mechanical Engineers in developing engineering design drawings.
- Prepare 2-D CAD Intelligent Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) from sketches and marked-up prints.
- Review drawings and documents prepared by others for adherence to drafting standards, procedures, discipline standards, and national standards.
- Responsible for ensuring the data integrity of the components list.
- Execute scheduled requirements while maintaining high-quality work.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software.
- Prior experience with industry-wide design/drafting tools (AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, PDS2D, PDS3D, Smartplant P&ID Component Databases).
- Experience collaborating in a project team to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Level 1:
- Requires a University Hire with
- 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or
- 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
