Our client in looking for an experienced Sales Engineer with a background in technical sales, customer relationship management, and manufacturing process solutions. Skilled in identifying new business opportunities, presenting complex technologies, and driving territory growth through strategic planning and collaboration.
This role requires you to have CNC machine knowleadge and experience in the machine tool industry. Bachelor's degree in a Technical field or 5+ years of relevant sales and/or technical experience. You are required to have a valid drivers license and able to manage travel, schedules, and priorities efficiently.

responsibilities:
- Strategically locate, qualify, and target manufacturers and fabricators in the region to introduce, promote, and offer advanced manufacturing solutions.
- Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to develop and execute a plan for territory growth.
- Understand customers' existing manufacturing processes, workflows, production requirements, and challenges, and present tailored value propositions and technical solutions.
- Use technical expertise to engage with potential customers and present the advantages of available systems and technologies compared to competing products.
- Learn product specifications, features, and applications in depth, and stay informed about new developments and industry trends through tradeshows, publications, seminars, training sessions, and networking.
- Collaborate with applications engineers and product managers to identify optimal machine, software, and process solutions for complex manufacturing problems, preparing and delivering detailed presentations to customers.
- Update and maintain customer visit notes, sales opportunities, and regional activity reports in the CRM system on a weekly basis.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant equipment, processes, and internal procedures to effectively coordinate with internal departments and execute sales strategies.
- Conduct 6-8 confirmed in-person customer visits per week, documenting each in the CRM system; travel to customer sites at least three nights per week.
- Ensure the use of the latest quotation templates and data by retrieving current materials from internal systems.
- Complete documentation required to arrange and schedule time studies, demonstration trials, and customer demos at designated locations.
- Coordinate with management, technical staff, and other internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support successful equipment sales.
