Senior Buyer needed for immediate temp role in the Foxboro, MA area! Seeking a polished professional to cover for extended leave thru April 2026. Client would like an immediate start of 11/3 for at least 4 weeks of overlap for training and ramp up for this position. point of contact for the company's key customers. The right person for this role will be responsible for directly facilitating the procurement of materials and related services throughout the organization. This person will hoversee the purchasing function, collaborate closely with Materials Management, Outside Sales, Production and Planning.
Requires 4+ years' experience with purchasing in a manufacturing environment and a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain or Operations Management

responsibilities:
- Establish strategies to improve supply chain, solve shortage issues and strengthen supplier relationships
- Obtain materials, components, and equipment, as required by the production schedule
- Direct and procure supplier technical and operating expertise as required to internal customer
- Develop written procedures for routine protocols and keep them current for the Purchasing Department.
- Track progress of parts to ensure time schedules and delivery
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, Accounting, Production and Warehouse
- Related Bachelor's degree along with 4+ years purchasing in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with data analysis, PO process (creating, tracking, refreshing)
- Track record of cost, inventory and lead time reduction
- Experience with an ERP system required, NetSuite/Oracle is a plus
- Certification in CPM, CPIM or APICS a plus
- Proven ability to positively communicate, maintain organization and thrive in a fast paced environment
