An Internal Audit Manager is needed for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company. Remote work. This role will be overseeing the planning and execution of the SOX audit program and include workpaper review, deficiency evaluation, status reporting, external auditor coordination, and managing project teams.

responsibilities:
- Plans, prioritizes, and manages SOX audit projects in line with expected milestones.
- Reviews SOX testing workpapers for quality and achievement of audit objectives.
- Critically evaluates internal control deficiencies to determine root cause, exposure, and impacts.
- Collaborates with control owners to assemble detailed management action plans (MAPs).
- Monitors SOX resourcing plans and milestones, ensuring projects are appropriately staffed and scheduled.
- Leverages audit team tools to provide comprehensive and clear SOX status reports to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Ensures audit tools (e.g., AuditBoard) are completely and accurately updated for visibility into progress and results.
- Partners and collaborates with external auditors on SOX testing deliverables and progress.
- Supports the Sr. Director in planning and developing the FY26 SOX Program.
- Must possess an in-depth understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, and the COSO framework.
- Requires expertise in technical accounting and financial statement audit concepts.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability for individual and team assignments, delivering high-quality, timely audits.
- Requires resourcefulness and the ability to foster collaboration to drive results within cross-functional teams.
- strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Must have strong planning, organization, and project management skills to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Requires a degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience.
