A Quality Engineer is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Memphis, TN area. This role is responsible for developing and sustaining quality processes, inspection methods, and documentation within a medical device manufacturing environment; role involves hands-on testing (FAIs, validations), troubleshooting, training, and ensuring SOX compliance.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, and sustaining of quality processes and inspection methods.
- Develops and maintains quality documentation, including procedures, gauging, programming, and documentation.
- Collaborates with Quality Control, Product Development, and Manufacturing Operations to support daily production and site initiatives.
- Maintains compliance of the quality system to internal and external medical device industry standards and regulations.
- Develops various inspection techniques and procedures to ensure product integrity.
- Writes, approves, and implements Receiving, Floor, Final, and operator self-inspection procedures.
- Works with Quality Engineers and Metrology Lab personnel on the development and procurement of product gauging, overlays, and templates.
- Coordinates and executes the development of quality processes, including work instructions, gauges, and test methods.
- Trains Manufacturing Associates in measuring, testing, and inspection techniques.
- Performs first article inspections, capability studies, process validations, and metallurgical analyses.
- Requires strong communication skills (verbal and written) and keen attention to detail.
- Must be proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Minitab, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in statistical analysis, software development, and familiarity with Tulip, Jira, and Agile is strongly preferred.
- Requires effective project and time management skills.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering/Technical discipline.
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical or manufacturing role is preferred.
- ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
