Manufacturing Buyer located near Wood Dale, IL for a leading manufacturing company. This role is responsible to qualify, plan and purchase materials required for production.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least five (5) years of Buying/Purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced with commercial ERP software
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
- BS or BA Degree
- JD Edwards ERP experience

responsibilities:
- Manage activities to procure items according to the best delivery schedule while maintaining target inventory levels
- Place and track purchase orders for inventory and non-inventory parts
- Manages day-to-day purchasing operations
- Responsible for purchasing items to support production and business needs
- Negotiates the release of all purchase orders
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet production requirements
- Reviews inventory levels and issues/modifies orders for stock replenishment
- Support new product roll out by assisting in establishing the supply chain for the new product
