A Senior Logistics Coordinator is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Dekalb, IL (hybrid) area. The Senior Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the complete lifecycle of freight orders, encompassing efficient load planning, carrier management, on-time execution, risk mitigation, and service recovery, requiring independent decision-making and strong cross-functional communication within the supply chain.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for transportation load planning and order management prior to shipment.
- Manages specialized recovery and ensures on-time delivery.
- Executes product transportation efficiently and effectively using available tools.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (customer service, carriers, facilities, deployment).
- Maintains a professional demeanor in all communications.
- Demonstrates initiative and makes informed decisions independently.
- Considers customer needs, facility requirements, and carrier capacity in decision-making.
- Escalates issues as necessary.
- Supports the company Operational Master Plan and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Addresses and resolves conflicts and discrepancies professionally and timely.
- Manages planning anomalies and analyzes non-routine problems.
- Conducts final validation of plans and maintains accurate data.
- Establishes connections between appointments and transit times.
