Very reputable, well established and growing company located in Indianapolis is looking for an Automation Manager.
This role comes with an excellent compensation package with base salary ranging from $180k to $200k plus an annual 20% bonus. Relocation assistance is also available.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in automating, standardizing processes and control systems in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of DCS systems such as: ABB, Honeywell, DeltaV, Siemens, Rockwell, Allen Bradley or Ignition along with PLC, HMI and SCADA.

responsibilities:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes and always maintaining safe practices
- Actively reviews practices, workflows and systems to identify opportunities and advises on appropriate interventions for process improvements that impact production and business results
- Facilitates change management by engaging with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of systemt based, proactive and automated improvements; provides training and support to employees at all levels to encourage the adoption of new processes and tools
- Drives knowledge exchange with technology experts (plant resources, engineering solutions, internal/external consultant groups, sister plants etc.), to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities
- Monitors the effectiveness of implemented intitiatives and makes necessary adjustments
- Identifies new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and automation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- 10 plus years of proven experience in controls systems, programming and automation required
- Knowledge of DCS systems such as: ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rockwell, DeltaV, Allen Bradley, Ingition etc.
- Experience with machine learning and AI applications in automation
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java or C++, Structured Text, Open AI
- Experience designing and programming automation systems
- Knowledge of robotics and control systems
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and project managment skills
- Ability to work cross collaboratively with cross functional teams, drive change and influence other
- Results oriented with the ability to gather, analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources
