responsibilities:
- Oversee and supplier relationships
- Contract negotiation
- Evaluate quality, pricing, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and services.
- Develop purchasing strategies that ensure availability of required inventory consistent with the company's budget
- Optimize P&L contribution through development and execution of cost reduction strategic initiatives
- Develop strategy to minimize impact of market inflation
- Support CAPEX / major Maintenance initiatives through contract negotiations and proposal of potential alternative options
- Manage storeroom operations
- Develop and monitor key metrics to gauge effectiveness of the procurement functions
- Lead and develop direct reports
