Service Manager needed for immediate Direct Hire role in the Columbia, MD area! Seeking a polished professional to lead a team (5-15) of Calibration Specialists and Repair Technicians to ensure the highest quality of service is offered to clients.
The right person for this role will focus on continuous improvement, which includes spearheading new service initiatives. They will interface with the product development team and help generate new ideas to improve client services within the organization.
An Engineering or Business Degree along with 5+ years of related experience, including developing/maintaining internal and external customer relationships are required.
Knowledge of manufacturing regulations, exceptional computer skills and a valid US work authorization are required.

responsibilities:
- Develops and leads a technical service team to achieve best in class service
- Continuously improve service processes, procedures, and capabilities, which are measured by KPIs
- Manages individual and team based projects, both at the team and organizational levels
- Works with Product Development and Service Sales teams to ensure the Service Center is prepared for new products, product options as well as the expected service volume
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership, professional and personal development, and developing/maintaining internal and external customer relationships
- Degree in Business or Engineering
- Knowledge of ISO manufacturing regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Microsoft 365)
- Must work well in a team environment and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using SAP ERP Tool helpful but not required.
