responsibilities:
- Support the design and detailing of building envelope systems, including roofing, façades, curtain walls, glazing, and waterproofing assemblies.
- Prepare engineering drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and diagnostic testing related to air/water infiltration, thermal performance, and material integrity.
- Assist in developing repair and remediation recommendations based on test results and field observations.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, and product data for compliance with design intent.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure constructability and system performance.
- Support construction administration, field reporting, and quality assurance reviews.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Participate in project scheduling, cost estimating, and procurement of materials and testing equipment.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in building envelope, façade, or structural engineering.
- Familiarity with building science concepts, materials, and envelope performance.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and analysis software (THERM, WUFI, or similar a plus).
- Great written and verbal communication skills.
- EIT certification; PE license or progress toward licensure preferred.
