A Mechanical Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Hemlock, MI area. The Mechanical Engineer will be a hands-on expert with debug, and troubleshoot equipment in a Solar wafer manufacturing plant during rapid start-up and commissioning, requiring strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

responsibilities:
- Role is a hands-on Mechanical Engineer focused on troubleshooting, installation, and debugging equipment.
- Focus is on equipment installation and start-up, not a design-focused position.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing solutions to equipment issues during start-up and commissioning in a Solar wafer manufacturing plant.
- Collaborates with diverse teams including electrical, controls, facilities, and operations.
- Must possess effective technical leadership, organization, and planning skills.
- Requires creative/innovative problem solving and experience completing projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires excellent analytical skills and decision-making based on data.
- Must be a self-starter, a team player, and capable of motivating others.
- Proficiency is required in AutoCAD and Solidworks.
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Capable of multitasking and working with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in equipment installation, debug, startup, and troubleshooting.
- Mandarin speaking is a plus.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2+ years, with 5+ years preferred.
