A Lead Material Planner is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. This is a Lead Material Planner role responsible for managing the mid-to-long-range Apparel materials plan, driving on-time delivery through demand/capacity analysis, implementing lead time strategies, and spearheading strategic projects to build a more responsive and resilient global materials supply chain.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning materials supporting the Apparel business for a large Sport and Material Class alignment.
- Primary responsibility is the management of mid- to long-range plan health.
- Understand driving forces impacting the material forecast.
- Coordinate and communicate recommended strategies to support on-time delivery.
- Support setting and operationalizing material lead time strategies.
- Role is balanced between tactical support (demand-supply management) and strategic partnership (developing new strategies).
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement new strategies for a responsive, flexible materials supply chain.
- Develop and implement capabilities across functions to meet goals for Responsiveness, Resiliency, and Sustainability.
- Must be a proactive, thoughtful self-starter who embraces and leads change.
Ability to interpret driving factors and implement corrective actions.
- Understanding of Manufacturing best practices and key metrics.
- Innovation mindset to continuously improve and challenge the status quo.
- Effective communication skills (in-person, written, phone) and effective presentation skills.
- Experience in creating tools to support analytics of key business performance metrics.
- Experience working in a diverse, cross-functional environment.
- Results-oriented mentality for prioritizing work.
- Must be able to influence teams that do not directly work with supply chains.
- Previous project management experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing and/or Logistics functions.
