This pivotal role involves leading the entire estimating and bidding process, ensuring in-depth knowledge of project design, construction, schedule, and budgeting. You will manage multiple bids simultaneously, coordinate with Superintendents to ensure safe and efficient procedures, complete billings, and perform detailed job cost analysis. The role requires proactive problem-solving, effective communication with owners and subcontractors, and maintenance of project safety and quality plans. responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire estimating process from inception to final proposal.
- Analyze project design, construction, schedule, and budgeting for comprehensive estimates.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, both individually and as part of a team.
- Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure construction procedures are safe, timely, and budget-compliant.
- Complete project billings and cash flow projections.
- Conduct detailed job cost analysis.
- Proactively maintain project safety and quality plans.
- Communicate effectively with owners, architects, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Identify and promote solutions for problems that could impede project progress or affect customer relations.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Estimating.
- Estimating experience on construction projects up to $15 million.
- Degree in Construction Management, or a related field (a plus).
- Technical, oral, and written communication skills are essential.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of Sage, Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to be a flexible team player in a fast-paced and changing environment.
