A QA Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Mahwah, NJ area. This is an individual contributor quality/supplier management role focused on approving production documentation (PPAP, FAI, PFMEA), managing supplier nonconformances/CAPAs, and utilizing knowledge of supply chain, operations, and relevant PLM/Production software.

responsibilities:
- Read, Understand, Document, and Approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
- Understand and Approve FAI (First Article Inspection), DCP (Design Control Plan/Process Control Plan), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), IGS (Inspection Gauge Specification/Instructional Guidelines), and Manufacturing Procedures.
- Articulate effectively with Suppliers.
- Investigate nonconformances and CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) with suppliers.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain, Operations, and Production.
- Knowledge of any PLCM (Product Lifecycle Management) software (e.g., OnePLM, Windchill, SAP).
- Knowledge of any Production Software (e.g., MES, EPS, Oracle, I factory).
- Knowledge of Engineering Changes (e.g., ECR - Engineering Change Request, ECN - Engineering Change Notice, CT - Change Ticket/Control).
- Individual contributor role requiring professional judgment and independent work.
- Requires minimal supervision.
- Requires good and comprehensive understanding of relevant processes, procedures, and systems.
- Requires the ability to make judgments based on practice and previous experience.
