A CNC Machinist is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Mountainhome, PA area. This CNC Machinist role is focused on setup, operation, quality monitoring (SPC/GD&T), and independent problem-solving while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines for specific production steps or processes, like producing machined parts.
- Check SPC charts (Statistical Process Control) for frequency of checks, gauging, and measurements.
- Monitor and verify quality using SPC charts and other control procedures.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, design sketches, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) for requirements.
- Complete highly complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
- Consistently work on a variety of highly complex tasks requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve complex problems.
- Make recommendations for new procedures.
- Take measurements of material and select appropriate machines for the process.
- Requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
