Locomotive Engineer needed for immediate direct hire opportunity in the Lake Ossipee, NH area!
The right person for this role will be a certified locomotive engineer and possess the mechanical knowledge, air brake expertise, and experience regarding the operation of heavy equipment. Along with the operation of such equipment, this person will interpret freight orders, RR signals, and regulations to transport freight in a timely manner. The right person for this role will be well organized, have exceptional communication, leadership skills, and enjoy working with rail cars.

responsibilities:
- Operate trains in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate with dispatchers, conductors, and other crew members via radio or hand signals
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections of locomotives and railcars and conduct repairs as required
- Certification as Locomotive Engineer along with a Min of 2 years related experience
- Must have exceptional communication, leadership and organization skills as it pertains to this role
- Proven mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot issues, such as air brakes, etc
- Proven reasoning and problem-solving skills to respond effectively in a safety sensitive environment
- Must pass medical examination, background and drug test
