An energy technology company is hiring a Project Manager in Schenectady, NY. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and leverages leadership communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills to provide technical project guidance and ensure successful Gas Turbine project execution while supporting team members and managing customer interactions. This is a 12 months contract position.

responsibilities:
- Support team members in technical project management and direction for Gas Turbine projects.
- Drive coordination of engineering activities and critical issue resolution (OTR-related).
- Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications Engineering.
- Assist/Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and/or Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs) with customers and EPCs.
- Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to all design functions.
- Utilize internal documentation systems and communicate regularly with internal engineering organizations.
- Mitigate engineering schedule issues and take preventative action against delivery delays.
- Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel.
- Ensure equipment meets customer requirements and business objectives.
- Provide vendor documentation tracking support.
- Ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Leadership-quality communication skills (verbal and written).
- Customer-facing experience.
- Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving capability.
- Experience and/or knowledge of plant system design engineering, manufacturing, assembly, installation, and/or testing.
- Continuous process improvement mindset.
