Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a high growth DoD contractor in the Indianapolis, IN area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer would be responsible for design of new products and test hardware, as well as the improvement of existing products. Experience with mechanical design especially Creo, metals manufacturing, DoD industry, product integration and mechanical components is highly desired.

responsibilities:
- Utilize their mechanical engineering expertise during the proposal and concept generation phase, product development, production, and qualification testing phases of new product design.
- Design creative solutions that meet product requirements.
- Proficient with 3D modeling and drafting, and will be hands-on supporting production, integration, and testing.
- Develop solutions which leverage commercial off the shelf (COTS) products paired with custom hardware.
- Take part in design reviews at both part, subsystem and system level including Peer Reviews, DFMAs, PDRs, and CDRs
- Provide leadership on mechanical designs and provide mentorship to junior engineers, as well as work closely with systems, electrical, test, and production engineers.
