In this role you will support robotic paint automation projects in automotive manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in Engineering Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 1-3 years of experience in robotics, automotive manufacturing, or a similar environment. They must be proficient in 3D CAD software, have experience with robotics programming, and possess project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

responsibilities:
- Conduct robot feasibility studies and develop offline robot programs for production, including underbody (waterproof) base coat and top coat applications.
- Determine the appropriate robots for specific tasks within paint processes.
- Develop offline robotic programs for sealer, UBC, dampening coat, primer, base, clear coat, and interior paint processes.
- Support the Paint Digital Engineering (DE) group in performing reach studies and cycle time analysis for robotic painting processes.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and collaborate with plant teams to ensure smooth implementation of paint processes.
- Create detailed documentation and reports for process improvements.
- Travel to plants in the U.S., Mexico, and Canada to support projects.
- Work independently with minimal direction, applying prior experience to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Work with specialized equipment including Kawasaki robots and software such as SolidWorks, Met-lab, and 3D imaging tools
