A Smart 3D Administrator is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role requires experience in engineering or IT to act as the Smart 3D Administrator, leveraging advanced software configuration, database management (SQL, Oracle), and programming skills to manage, integrate, and support engineering software data and workflows on large EPC projects.

responsibilities:
- Applies engineering software management/support expertise to computer-aided design/engineering software supporting engineering work processes.
- Configures and maintains S3D software settings, user roles, permissions, admin parameters, configuration files, and content libraries.
- Creates new projects and copies standard designs for replication in the field.
- Translates coordinate systems between multiple applications.
- Manages and troubleshoots software issues, including updates, patches, and license inventory.
- Develops and enforces best practices for S3D usage, data standards, and workflows.
- Collaborates with IT teams for server maintenance, data backups, and system integrations.
- Applies knowledge of 2D/3D principles to data integration with commercial-off-the-shelf software (e.g., SmartPlant, Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, analysis software).
- Cross-Functional experience working on EPC projects with a passion for innovation.
- Understands the impact of engineering data on upstream and downstream users.
- Experience maintaining software versions and lists across disciplines.
- Experience with industry-wide database systems (Access, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Competent in developing programs, scripts, and routines using VB 6.0, .NET, or similar.
- Proficient with data flow, data analysis, and information management techniques.
- Proficient integrating data between disparate systems and various data types.
- General IS&T and conversant knowledge of data security.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and essential MS Office skills.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Engineering, IT, or related field.
- With 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Relevant experience includes using independent judgment to support a model-based digital engineering delivery program.
