A BIM Coordinator is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This BIM Coordinator role requires experience to manage, integrate, and support model-based digital delivery for DOD projects, leveraging expertise in Revit and various BIM/CAD tools (SmartPlant3D, Tekla) to enforce standards, provide technical support, and drive efficiency across engineering and construction.

responsibilities:
- The BIM Coordinator is a member of the Engineering Automation and Digital Delivery team.
- Develops, manages, organizes, and verifies complex design information in a model-based integrated digital engineering environment for DOD projects.
- Administers models and data for Engineering disciplines (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Electrical, Piping, HVAC).
- Coordinates internal work products/designs and integrates work with external stakeholders (customer, vendor, sub-contractor).
- Requires strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, a can-do attitude, and a desire to innovate.
- Responsible for supporting the integrated digital environment, focusing on parametric modeling and data attribution of physical characteristics.
- Executes work according to company and contract requirements and supports engineering disciplines and construction trades.
- May involve developing novel concepts, approaches, and solutions.
- Interfaces with engineering, procurement, construction, and the client in developing the shared digital engineering environment.
- Excellent listening, oral, and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships, manage priorities, and maximize efficiency.
- Demonstrates ownership and initiative in problem-solving.
- Proficient in technical writing for Procedures, Plans, Instructions, and Workflow Diagrams.
- Specialized technical knowledge of engineering design modeling tools/processes and design model validation tools/processes.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit, including creating and managing families for all disciplines.
- Familiarity with BIM tools emphasizing Autodesk (Revit, Civil3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks), Hexagon (SmartPlant3D), and Trimble (Tekla Structures).
- Experience integrating and extracting data from automation tools.
- Experience setting up and configuring BIM, CAD, and automation tools.
- Bachelor's degree in related Engineering, Construction, or Information Management.
- With at least 3 years of relevant experience, or AA/AS degree with 5 years of related experience.
