Large utility is looking for a Restoration Coordinator in Jackson, MI. responsibilities:
- Investigates property damage and researches/resolves formal and informal restoration complaints.
- Provides permits for contractors and secures necessary permits for restoration work.
- Notifies municipalities/local government when restoration is required and completed (pre-notification).
- Acts as Company's final customer contact, requiring strong customer service, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Determines the safest and most cost-effective way to satisfy the customer, including negotiating cash settlement agreements.
- Schedules and manages restoration orders, assigning work to appropriate contractors based on capacity and order type.
- Monitors contractors' on-time completion rates and manages the workload for multiple contractors.
- Meets with customers, municipality inspectors, and vendors at work sites to plan projects.
- Manages cost for repairs.
- Creates orders in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (SAP) and tracking spreadsheets.
- Uses MS Excel proficiency, including adding/removing information and modifying formulas.
- Uses SAP proficiency (Front and Back office) for reporting, creating, and viewing orders.
- Requires attention to detail for tracking individual assignments, reviewing SharePoint, and checking SAP to determine if damage occurred.
- Requires daily communication with various cross-functional departments (Field Leaders, vendors, Engineering, Customer Service, Scheduling/Dispatch, etc.).
- Requires expert customer service and negotiation skills when dealing directly with customers and local government regarding damages from gas/electric operations.
- Uses SharePoint, where all job aids, spreadsheets, and schedules are stored.
