A Document Control Clerk is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Corning, NY area. This Document Control Clerk (DCC) role in Engineering manages all project-related documentation and drawings (digital and hard copy), coordinates distribution with stakeholders, operates large-format printers, and maintains the accuracy and organization of the document control system.

responsibilities:
- Act as the central point of contact for project documentation and drawing management within the Engineering Department.
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive digital library of project files and drawings, and hard copies in designated storage areas.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders for document transfers, updates, and information flow.
- Distribute project documentation and drawings to relevant internal and external teams using electronic and physical methods.
- Operate large-format multifunction printers (MFPs) to produce technical drawings, blueprints, and oversized documents.
- Print, package, and mail hard copy drawings and related documents upon request.
- Receive, file, and manage project drawings/CAD files within the Information Management System, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- 5S legacy storage locations and compile them to a centralized, organized, and easily accessed location.
- Support and improve the existing document control system, managing daily processes effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of drawing inventories, including updates, revisions, and archiving.
- Proactively identify and address documentation-related issues, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.
- Must possess Interpersonal, Communication, Time Management, Organizational, and Problem Solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter with strong Attention to Detail and Technical Proficiency (Microsoft Office and document management systems).
- Requires an Associate degree in drafting, CAD, or a related technical field.
- Requires 3+ years of relevant experience in document control or drawing management within an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
