A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This is a Senior Mechanical Engineer role focused on the design and procurement of chilled water and specialized piping/equipment systems for the Sentinel Project.

responsibilities:
- Role involves preparing design and procurement documents for the Sentinel Project.
- Has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, and coordinating design related to chilled water systems and unique equipment.
- Ideal candidate has solid experience in piping system and equipment design.
- Prepares and checks design/procurement documents including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Prepares specifications/data sheets for unique, requirement-driven equipment.
- Acts as the technical representative for associated purchase orders, reviewing vendor submittals, and managing the supplier's technical performance.
- Evaluates, selects, and applies standard mechanical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates mechanical components and processes using EDPs, design standards, guides, and SAPs.
- Required experience in P&ID/V&ID development, piping or HVAC system design, and equipment/pipe/duct sizing calculations.
- Relevant experience in waste processing, nuclear, refinery, or chemical process facilities is required.
- Required experience with codes like International Mechanical Code, ASHRAE, SMACNA, ASME B31, ASME BPVC, and International Plumbing Code.
- Experience working on DOD government projects and with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFCs).
- Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ASME NQA-1 or AS9100D.
