In this role you will be managing global factories, monitoring supplier performance, and driving process improvement within the commodity team to ensure operational excellence and on-time delivery of critical materials.
Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field and at least five years of experience managing global factories and various commodities, who possesses excellent communication skills, a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, Data Lookup) and ERP systems like SAP, with the flexibility for up to 10% travel.

responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor material flow through the production cycle, including planning and scheduling, to determine required material purchases.
- Develop and track supplier performance metrics, conduct regular performance and quality evaluations, and assess risks associated with the preferred supply base.
- Drive continuous process improvement by deploying and developing best practices in procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max), and manufacturing strategies.
- Establish and monitor goals with suppliers to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand.
- Represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams to address supply challenges and satisfy internal and external customer needs.
- Collaborate with engineering and suppliers to resolve complex technical and delivery issues, ensuring the on-time delivery of critical materials.
- Develop technical documentation, including presentations, white papers, and process flow charts, to support continuous process improvement projects.
- Work with suppliers to monitor product costs, prevent negative Purchase Price Variance (PPV), and support cost reduction efforts.
- Drive improvements in supplier manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and on-time delivery performance.
