R&D laboratory technician sought for immediate long term contract role in the Billerica, MA area. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis, interpretation and communication of results, and support the Analytical team, R&D and the product development colleagues
The right person for this role should possess a natural engineering curiosity, have a proven eye for details, documentation and an exceptional laboratory process flow. This candidate will have a team mindset along with excellent communication skills. Degree preferred along with 2-3 years experience working in a laboratory setting, ideally in the food and beverage industry.

responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of analytical testing using modern instrumentation and wet chemical techniques
- Participate on project and cross functional teams
- Compile, interpret, and communicate test results clearly, timely, and effectively to Product Development team
- Follow proper laboratory GLP protocols, lab safety, and general lab cleanliness and maintenance
- B.S. degree preferred in Chemistry, Food Science, or related
- 2 to 3 years' experience in laboratory setting, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
- Ability to take direction, with the confidence to share and suggest new ideas
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with natural engineering curiosity
- High level of detail of documentation and process
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
