A CNC / Lathe Machinist is needed for a leading manufacturing organization in the Southern Atlanta metro area (Fairburn). The CNC Machinist is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of various manual and CNC machines. The overall responsibility is to ensure the efficient manufacturing of high-quality products, including designing and modifying fixtures, and rigorously inspecting finished parts for conformance to engineering specifications.
Qualified candidate must have a foundational Mastercam background possess the ability to read, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and effectively use precision measuring equipment to complete dimensional inspections. Candidates should know how to manipulate drawing from SolidWorks to Mastercam. This is a direct-hire role, slated to be from 8-5, with some opportunity for overtime. Our client is only seeking local talent at this time.

- Program, set up, and operate CNC machine tools and other fabrication equipment
- Perform routine dimensional and visual inspection using tools like calipers and micrometers

- Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, such as checking fluid levels and filters
- Ensure strict compliance with all manufacturing safety practices and procedures
- Participate in process improvement teams to enhance operational efficiency
