A Site Loss Control Specialist is needed for an American social media conglomerate corporation in the Forest City, NC area. The Site Loss Control Specialist is a safety expert with 5-7+ years of experience who manages risk, compliance, and EHS programs especially high-risk retrofit projects in occupied spaces, functioning as a vital component within the OCIP framework.

responsibilities:
- Performs risk assessments for all construction tasks and retrofit projects, including generating safe work execution plans.
- Maintains working relationships with the project team and contractors to facilitate zero incidents.
- Provides guidance and coordinates direction, training, and mentoring to implement effective safety methodologies.
- Facilitates incident investigation, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and reporting for corrective actions.
- Collaborates with the DEC loss control team and internal stakeholders to maintain minimum standards and monitor safety programs.
- Actively engages in maintaining cross-functional relationships to foster cooperation and enhance safety.
- Develops robust safety processes and standards in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
- Integrates effectively into the construction sequence to facilitate best-in-class safety performance.
- Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand safety/quality control impacts of new designs/materials.
- Ensures internal processes are followed and aligns expectations on delivery timelines.
- Experience working within an OCIP environment.
- Experience with the implementation of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) enhancement programs.
- Proven ability to partner with team members and contractors.
- Knowledge of design and construction industry practices, including the fast-track design-build process and associated documents/contracts.
- Familiarity with ground-up construction and greenfield site development.
- Proficient with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of proactive safety methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety from an accredited university.
- 5-7+ years of construction experience in a dedicated safety role.
- OSHA 500 certification.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) current designation through Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
