responsibilities:
- Develop computer vision algorithms and AI models for inspecting products in a manufacturing setting
- Collect, organize, and annotate diverse image datasets needed to train accurate vision models
- Clean and preprocess image data to ensure high-quality inputs for model training
- Build and maintain data pipelines that include noise reduction, normalization, and data augmentation
- Integrate data from multiple sensors to improve the accuracy and reliability of vision systems
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing models based on new data, feedback, or changing conditions
- Design and run validation tests to ensure models work reliably under real-world manufacturing conditions
- Document vision systems processes, workflows, and best practices for reproducibility and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date on computer vision and AI developments to propose new methods or improvements
- Collaborate with production, quality, operations, and engineering teams to enhance plant efficiency, defect detection, and product quality
- Apply programming and technical skills (Python, C++, C) to implement and optimize vision solutions
- Deploy vision models into manufacturing systems, including use on containerization technologies (e.g., Docker)
- Support manufacturing defect detection projects and other vision-related tasks across plant locations
- Ability to come into office once a week
