A Controls Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Pontiac, IL area. This position requires a professional with at least five years of experience to support manufacturing process verifications, asset networking, and data visualization using PLC, SCADA, and network engineering skills.

responsibilities:
- Provide controls engineering support for In-Process Verifications implementation
- Assist with connecting existing and new assets to the Company Network
- Collect OEE and other business critical data
- Develop visuals that assist in driving improvement
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Participate in ground-up development for machine and process data collection
- Gain experience with state of the art equipment
- Develop and improve key business indicating visuals
- Attend daily start up meetings
- Discuss weekly goals and task assignments
- Discuss assistance needed to complete tasks
- Participate in daily follow ups to remove roadblocks interfering with completion dates
- Engage in daily meetings
- Work in a collaborative environment
- Join a team of 4 controls engineers and 1 data analyst
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- 5 or more years of industrial controls engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required
- Internships are not accepted as job experience
- PLC troubleshooting and programming
- Network engineering
