A Supply Management Specialist is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Ankeny, IA area. This Supply Management Specialist role focuses on strategic sourcing, commodity cost reduction, and supplier performance management through data analysis and cross-functional project leadership.

responsibilities:
- Support and lead strategic sourcing efforts for commodities, products, and services.
- Build and develop a supply base focused on quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
- Establish and manage material replenishment processes to ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Coordinate supplier validation and quality planning as part of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process.
- Execute multi-year cost reduction and resiliency plans for assigned commodities.
- Lead cross-functional cost reduction initiatives from concept to project execution.
- Manage supplier diversification and risk mitigation projects to improve supply base resilience.
- Utilize Engineering Change Management (ECM) and project management tools for timely implementation.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
- Resolve complex queries from internal stakeholders and external suppliers regarding policies.
- Plan and coordinate product inspections and implement corrective actions for performance issues.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, regulatory codes, and standard operating procedures.
