Industry leading manufacturer is looking for a Controls Engineer in the Portage, Indiana area.
This role comes with a very competitive base salary ranging (commensurate with experience) from $100k to $110k plus annual bonus opportunity. Relocation assistance is also available.

responsibilities:
- Directly work with and provide hands-on support to operations and maintenance groups in a fast paced production industrial environment.
- Maintenance and problem solving of all aspects of a large variety of computes, instrumentation and related plant control and process automation systems.
- Modifications to existing automation systems to implement new ideas for continuous improvement to the manufacturing process.
- Development, implementation and maintenance of models for plant processes of a metallurgical, mechanical or chemical nature.
- Assingments on new installation or moderinzation projects with participation in activities such as planning, engineering design, hardward configuration, software design, development and testing and new system start up.
- Real-time control and monitoring of the plant processes including maintenance of hardware and software, design and installation of new control systems and moderinzation of existing systems
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in an industrial environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering discipline relevant to a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of and experience with modern progamming languages and relational databases
- Basic knowledge of computer networking and routing
- Demonstated knowledge of advanced control theory and the ability to create, modify and troubleshoot complex logic
- Manufacturing experience
