An Environmental Technician is needed for a world class utility company in the Oologah, OK area. This position requires a high school diploma or degree in a related field and one to five years of experience to perform environmental inspections, data management, and regulatory reporting for construction and facility compliance while ensuring adherence to corporate safety and environmental standards.

responsibilities:
- Perform environmental inspections within the assigned region using company approved forms and methods.
- Manage environmental data and fulfill reporting requirements to comply with programs and permits.
- Follow corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic goals.
- Provide environmental compliance field support during and after construction for various project types.
- Collect data to demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements at multiple company assets.
- Ensure all inspections and reports are completed within regulatory time frames.
- Advise and train construction field personnel on applicable environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Inform appropriate staff of issues identified during inspections or field observations.
- Apply working knowledge of NPDES construction stormwater permits and erosion control.
- Manage requirements for aboveground and underground storage tanks.
- Oversee the transportation of hazardous materials and solid or hazardous waste management.
- Implement spill prevention control and countermeasure plans.
- Conduct sampling, reporting, and control for wastewater, storm water, groundwater, and drinking water.
- Manage oil and chemical spill responses and air emissions monitoring.
- Handle asbestos and PCB management and pollution prevention efforts.
- Assist with environmental site assessments and emergency planning.
- Maintain technical expertise, planning ability, and strong attention to detail.
- Prepare and submit assigned reports under minimal supervision.
- Quality assure field activities to ensure compliance with environmental laws and permits.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices for employees, contractors, and the public.
- Provide support during environmental compliance reviews.
- Maintain environmental documents and records in accordance with content management standards.
- Exercise safe driving techniques while traveling between company assets.
- Meet education requirements of a high school diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Provide three years of experience with an associate degree or one year with a bachelor's degree.
- Provide five years of relevant experience if applying with a high school diploma.
