A Senior Pipe Stress Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Reston, VA area. This role focuses on performing piping flexibility and stability analyses using Bentley AutoPipe in accordance with ASME B31.3 or B31.1 codes while collaborating with design teams in a hybrid office environment.

responsibilities:
- Model piping systems using Bentley AutoPipe to verify flexibility and stability.
- Qualify equipment nozzle loads through technical modeling.
- Conduct stress reviews of isometrics based on established span tables.
- Review and check the technical work performed by other team members.
- Collaborate with layout personnel and pipe support engineers for cost-effective designs.
- Coordinate with vendors and other engineering disciplines as required.
- Execute specific lead responsibilities as assigned by the project team.
- Hold an AA/AS degree or Certificate in Engineering or CAD with 7 to 8 years of experience.
- Alternatively, provide 9 to 12 years of relevant work experience in the field.
- Maintain deep knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, and other industry piping standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer pipe stress analysis programs, specifically Bentley AutoPipe.
