An Engineering Technician is needed in the Gloucester, MA area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This is an Engineering Technician role requiring 4-7 years of experience in high-voltage and vacuum systems to assemble, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex ion implantation or plasma etch platforms.

responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage (HV) electrical, high-vacuum, and mechanical systems.
- Modify, rebuild, and calibrate complex equipment modules according to engineering specifications.
- Perform comprehensive mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum testing on semiconductor capital equipment.
- Conduct specialized measurements including particulate counts, metals testing, and equipment demonstrations.
- Assemble, integrate, and calibrate plasma etch platforms and high/medium current ion implanters.
- Interpret and follow detailed engineering and manufacturing documentation to ensure process accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members by exchanging technical ideas with tact and diplomacy.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of electrical circuitry to diagnose and resolve equipment failures.
- Minimum high school diploma and
- 4-7 year's technician training/experience in a high technology area.
- Minimum of 2?3 year's semiconductor experience, VCS training on other VIISta tools a plus.
- Understanding of electrical circuitry is required.
