A Plant Manager is needed for one of the world's largest power management and power generation services companies in the Gettysburg, PA area. This is a Plant Manager role responsible for the total operational, financial, and regulatory leadership of an 820 MW combined cycle power facility, requiring extensive experience in GE turbine technology and union labor relations.

responsibilities:
- Direct all operations, maintenance, and engineering activities for an 820 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant featuring GE 7F.04 and GE D11 turbines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the facility Owner, ensuring full compliance with the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Agreement.
- Lead a union-represented workforce, fostering collaborative labor-management relations and adhering to collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee critical compliance programs including NERC, safety (OSHA), environmental QA/QC, and chemical monitoring.
- Manage the full lifecycle of planned and unplanned outages to optimize production efficiency and minimize costs.
- Direct all plant-level commercial activities, including budget development, financial forecasting, procurement, and major contract administration.
- Act as the lead community liaison and primary contact for permitting and regulatory agencies to maintain the plant's public image.
- Implement comprehensive staffing and technical training plans to ensure all personnel maintain required certifications and qualifications.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and hands-on support for equipment problem evaluation and root cause analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of business principles and operational practices within power generating facilities, with a focus on independent power producers.
- strong technical proficiency in plant operations and maintenance, with the ability to provide hands-on support and effective troubleshooting for operations and maintenance personnel.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance, with a consistent focus on fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence, supported by expertise in budget development, organizational development, and contract administration.
- Solid financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, complemented by a proven track record as a problem solver and team builder leading change initiatives to improve technical, human resource, operational, and financial outcomes.
- Effective in managing community relations and serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies and local stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities, both oral and written, with skill in engaging individuals at all organizational levels.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or equivalent is desired, providing a strong foundation for understanding the technical aspects of power plant operations and management.
- Relevant industry or military experience may be considered in lieu of education on a year-for-year basis.
