CapEx Project Manager long term contract opportunities with a specialty chemical manufacturing client located South of the Houston, TX area. These roles will be responsible for working closely with the site teams in preparing, leading and executing best in class full life cycle CapEx projects within the defined scope, schedule, and budget.

responsibilities:
- Manage projects from initiation through project delivery and closeout
- Take owner's role, bringing value to the business with accountability for the capex part of an assigned capital investment
- Function in a facilitator - technical contributor role in the Initiation and Study Phase (FEL-1 and FEL-2) of the project
- Ensure completeness and quality of the appropriate deliverables for the current stage gate of the project
- Ensuring project and process safety requirements are met as well as safely executing design/construction activities
- Other duties as needed and assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Demonstrated experience leading CapEx projects from 50K to 1 Million in scope.
- Experience working in a specialty chemical manufacturing or similar plant is preferred
- Understanding of common chemical processes, equipment, and instrumentation
- Ability to produce Gantt chart project schedules with critical path identified
- Ability to conduct project risk analysis and contingency analysis
- Ability to work inclusively with the site engineering and plant support teams to ensure objectives are met
- Excellent interpersonal skills, influencing, persuading, entrepreneurship, results oriented, negotiation, and problem solving
