Manufacturing company with locations nationwide is targeting an Automation Engineer for their facility in the Columbia SC area. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Level II Process Automation experience in manufacturing or heavy industry.
BS in Engineering or related technical/military training required.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement automation systems for various production processes.
- Design and configure programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation components.
- Design and maintain SQL/Oracle databases for production logs, material tracking, and historical data analysis.
- Analyze automated processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical support for automation systems and equipment.
- Manage any automation projects from initiation to completion, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
- BS Electrical Engineering or similar required
- 3+ years of industrial automation experience required
- Experience programming PLCs from scratch desired, HMIs as well
