A Structural Designer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Phoenix, AZ area. This role is focused on creating high-precision Revit models and construction documents for semiconductor manufacturing facilities and will lead small teams, coordinate across engineering disciplines, and take full ownership of the design-to-delivery process.

responsibilities:
- Develop 3D structural models from verbal instructions or rough sketches.
- Produce comprehensive structural plans and construction-ready details.
- Implement department and client standards consistently across all models and documents.
- Manage assigned scope to meet strict schedule and quality requirements.
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of personal work and peer reviews.
- Coordinate design efforts and resolve clashes with other engineering disciplines.
- Lead small design teams and manage package-specific task assignments.
- Monitor team progress and balance workloads to ensure deadline compliance.
- Lead internal, cross-discipline, and external package reviews.
- Utilize Revit, SmartPlant, Tekla, Navisworks, and Bluebeam for design and coordination.
- Design structural systems for industrial facilities, specifically steel and concrete.
Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
- Minimum of 3 years Revit experience.
- 7 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
- 5 years of Revit experience.
- Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla.
- Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam.
- Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures.
- Experience with general industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor-related.
