A Manufacturing Engineer Senior for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Redmond, WA area. This is a Manufacturing Engineering role focused on optimizing production through root-cause problem solving, process validation, and cross-functional collaboration to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Operations Management, Project Leaders, and cross-functional teams like Design, Quality, and Purchasing.
- Identifies and resolves manufacturing issues by addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.
- Develops, implements, and documents new manufacturing processes and best practices across all product lines.
- Utilizes analytical tools and modern engineering methods to reduce flow time and variability.
- Designs and conducts experiments to validate and characterize process changes.
- Creates technical reports and maintains comprehensive process documentation.
- Trains assembly staff on new procedures and equipment.
- Optimizes production line balancing to improve efficiency.
- Handles the justification, procurement, installation, and qualification of new tooling and machinery.
- Facilitates Design for Excellence (DFX) improvements by evaluating product designs.
- Experience in regulatory industries such as aerospace or medical device manufacturing.
- Ability to efficiently collect and analyze data.
- Good analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to express technically complicated ideas and explain them to others.
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years' experience in process design, development, and process/equipment qualification or validation.
