This Project Management role requires a Bachelor's degree and applied engineering/PMP experience, along with field experience in a heavy industrial setting, to ethically lead and manage power plant projects by defining scope, preparing schedules/budgets, managing risks, ensuring quality, and communicating effectively across internal teams and with customers. responsibilities:
- Precisely defines the scope of the project.
- Prepares and updates the project schedule as it evolves.
- Proposes and manages the project budget to prevent cost overruns.
- Ensures the project team has necessary supplies and human resources.
- Identifies and minimizes potential risks to the project timeline and budget.
- Ensures all project team members understand their responsibilities.
- Communicates the project's progression to management.
- Ensures the quality of the team's work, supplies, and materials.
- Provides a positive customer interface while addressing scope, safety, quality, schedule, and cost issues.
- Requires field experience in a heavy industrial setting.
- Experience in retrofit construction projects in a heavy industrial setting is preferred.
- Must know the business of project management and possess good project management leadership skills.
- Generating Plant Operations experience is desired.
- Must be highly organized with the ability to align the project with department/Company business needs.
- Requires good communication skills, including conflict resolution.
- Requires the ability to quickly solve problems utilizing project management methodologies.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Requires applied engineering or equivalent working experience, including project management experience.
- PMP certification is preferred, must be obtained within 3 years if not certified upon entry.
