Our client is seeking a Catia Technician for their Battery Pack Production Engineering Department. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and support the development and integration of cutting-edge reality capture, AR/VR, and plant/vehicle 3D technologies.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience and a BS in Design Engineering Technology or a related field, or 2-3 years of equivalent technical/professional experience. Expert software proficiency: Autodesk Products (AutoCAD, Dynamic Blocks, Autodesk Vault), Dassault Systems Products (Catia), and 3D Modeling tools (SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit).

responsibilities:
- Digital Twin Management: Maintain and support shop Digital Twins, including completing laser scans, converting point cloud data, and creating Navisworks study files.
- 3D Modeling & Library: Maintain the equipment 3D library by updating with OEM models, scanning existing equipment, and post-modification updates.
- AR/VR Integration: Support the integration of Augmented and Virtual Reality into engineering workflows, including configuring 3D files and loading to headsets for field trials.
- Support & Facilitation: Facilitate the CAD Support Request system, lead local system troubleshooting, and drive the adoption of data/technology job ways across shops.
- 2D Layouts: Maintain and manage shop 2D layouts
